SUMMARY:Dancing on the Island
DESCRIPTION:Our final dance of the season will take place on Monday\, June 14 — and we’re excited to return to one of our favourite summer locations! \n🌊 Toronto Island Beer & BBQ Located right beside the Centre Island ferry docks\, this beautiful spot features a huge wooden deck right on the water with an incredible view of the Toronto skyline.  Island map \n📅 WHEN Monday\, June 14 • 6:30 pm\n🎶 MUSIC Adam and Elise\n🎤 CALLER Angela Bontje and Maureen Mulvey-O’Leary\n💲 COST Donations appreciated to help defray costs (suggested: $10) \nWe also encourage everyone to support Toronto Island Beer & BBQ by purchasing dinner or refreshments there. They have generously waived any venue fee for us. Meals are approximately $25 and feature casual pub-style fare. \nIf you prefer to picnic\, please enjoy your meal at one of the many outdoor picnic tables rather than inside the restaurant. \n📍 GETTING THERE \nTake the Centre Island ferry: \n\n4:40 pm for a more leisurely trip\n5:20 pm if you’re coming closer to dance time\n\nView the schedule and get your tickets online \nIt’s just a short walk from the ferry dock to the venue. \nMissed the ferry? The Toronto Island Water Taxi (yellow boats at the foot of Yonge Street) runs every 10 minutes and brings you right to the pub. Cost: approximately $13.50. \nReturn ferries are available at 8:20 pm or 9:20 pm. \n✨ DETAILS If the evening is like last year\, we expect to dance about 3 sets. Music will be acoustic (not amplified). \nWe’re hoping many dancers will come early to enjoy dinner together on the deck before dancing begins promptly at 6:30 pm. \nThe pub officially closes at 8:00 pm\, but the owner has kindly allowed us to continue dancing until 8:30 pm. \n☀️ Cross your fingers for beautiful weather — and we hope to see you there for a wonderful evening of music\, dancing\, and community!
